Transportation Team
- Drive others to appointments, grocery store, and church
- Offer assistance in shopping and carrying grocery bags
- Build relationships along the way through conversation and prayer to and from locations
Visitation Team
- Encourage the homebound, sick, grieving, and those in lengthy hospital visits
- Listen to and pray with those facing difficulty
- Able to travel to the individual’s location at scheduled time(s)
- Emotionally available and un-burdensome to those in need of encouragement
S.W.A.T. Team
- Handymen/women to help to others (Ex. widows, single mothers, elderly, etc.) with plumbing, electrical, basic car maintenance, mowing, and more
- Be on-call for emergency needs and able to provide on-site assistance as able
Funeral Help Team
- Help oversee catering set-up and serving
- Establish a calm atmosphere and a confidence that the meal is prepared and ready to nourish those in need
- Assist caterer in setting up
- Apply and uphold ServSafe protocol
Meals Team
- Feed those in crisis or grieving while the meal train is being set up
- Share ready-to-bake or ready-to-eat meals with those who have just lost a loved one or are suddenly unable to prepare meals for themselves or their families
- Ease someone’s burden by delivering meals directly to his or her house
Prayer Team
- Pray faithfully for others
- Commit to going on the Prayer Wall at a specific number of times each day or week, and marking the requests you pray for
