The vision of our Nursery
We begin nurturing the faith of the next generation in the Nursery (4 months-2 years). Here, our volunteers form a foundation of biblical truth and create an atmosphere where God is known, discussed, and cherished. Parents can expect their children to be prayed over and hear foundational Bible truths and stories.
What is my child learning?
-
Curriculum – Truth78: A Sure Foundation – Our teachers reinforce and rotate a small number of foundational Bible stories (e.g. God Made Everything, Jesus is Here!)
-
Bible Themes – When you drop off your child, you will see 12 canvases hanging on the walls. Volunteers regularly point to and repeat these truths to your children. You can do the same at home!
-
Foundation Verses – We desire your children to have a storehouse of biblical truth to embrace and stand on as they grow. In the Nursery, your children will begin memorizing one verse per month. Use this sheet to reinforce the verses at home.
What happens on a typical Sunday?
- Caring for Basic Needs: Ministry to infants consists of caring for their basic needs (i.e., feeding, changing diapers, etc.) in a soothing, quiet atmosphere while also being prayed for by name.
-
Caring for Spiritual Needs: Ministry to toddlers is similar to the infant ministry with the addition of caring for their spiritual needs through prayer, Bible lessons focusing on the biblical truths of God, scripture memorization, and singing. They will also play freely with the toys and activities in the room.
